Artwork and Design

Like all printing, the end result is usually determined by the artwork supplied, so it is imperative to ensure artwork is of a high quality, provided in the right format and is the right size.

Here are some simple guidelines to follow to ensure you get the best results:

  • Programs that produce best quality artwork and labels are design studio applications including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • File formats acceptable for printing are AI, EPS, PDF, high res PDF’s and JPEG.
  • The file resolution should be at least 300dpi but preferably 600dpi.
  • To ensure best printing results produce artwork to the actual label size using CMYK colours or Spot Pantone colours. If you use specific colours in your branding it is advised to send through a sample showing the printed colour for us to match prior to printing.
  • The artwork needs to be placed correctly on the label, If your artwork design is full out to the edges, please ensure you allow for an area around the label of approximately 2mm, known as ‘Bleed’.
  • We will provide an electronic PDF proof for sign off, this is required before printing commences.
